Call for Papers - ISIPPE 2
The Anti-Counterfeit Authority is planning to host the 2nd International Symposium on Intellectual Property Protection and Enforcement (ISIPPE2) on the 5-6th June 2024 as part of the global events observing the World Anti-Counterfeiting Day.
This is a call for papers to be presented during the symposium. Authors are expected to submit abstracts first for review and once accepted the full papers for subsequent publication in a Discussion Paper Series published by the Authority.
The overall theme of the symposium is “Uniting against counterfeits for a healthy and safe future.”
The symposium has four (4) thematic areas:
1. Technology and Innovation
Sub-theme 1.1: Authentication technologies in pharma and healthcare
Sub-theme 1.2: Emerging technologies for authentication
Sub-theme 1.3: Digital solutions in brand protection
2. Policy, Regulation and Enforcement
Sub-theme 2.1: Legal frameworks and regulatory strategies
Sub-theme2.2: Enforcement practices and strategies
Sub-theme 2.3: International cooperation and collaboration
Sub-theme2.4: Online enforcement and e-commerce regulation
3. Research and Capacity Building
Sub-theme 3.1: Research on counterfeiting levels, trends, impacts and solutions
Sub-theme3.2: Capacity building initiatives and training programmes
Sub-theme3.3: Innovations in anti-counterfeiting technologies and techniques
Sub-theme 3.4: Measuring effectiveness and impact of consumer education and engagement programmes
4. Consumer Education and Engagement
Sub-theme 4.1: Counterfeit awareness and identification
Sub-theme 4.2: Digital literacy and online safety
Sub-theme 4.3: Global perspectives and cultural considerations
Sub-theme 4.4: Effective communication strategies and outreach
Submission Guidelines and Important timelines
Abstracts should be written in clear and concise English language;
Abstracts should have a maximum of 300 words; must have a clear and concise title, a brief introduction (purpose), methodology, results and conclusion;
Authors can submit case reviews, cases studies, emerging best practices, innovations and new knowledge;
Abstracts should be aligned with the symposium theme and sub-themes;
Authors must indicate the respective sub-theme or sub-themes;
Abstracts should include the name(s) of the author(s), affiliations, and contact address;

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 19th April 2024.
Notification of accepted abstracts: 3rd May 2024.
Deadline of submission of draft papers: 24th May 2024.
Deadline of submission of full papers: 27th Sept 2024.
